When a new Five Below needed extensive concrete repairs, the General Contractor hired The JLG Company to rip and replace 4,000-sf of concrete and do extensive repair to settled concrete pads and joints that had torn apart over the decades. The scope also included footings and piers (along with masonry Techo-Bloc finish) for the new façade. Disciplines included: demolition, masonry, footing removal/pour, concrete, concrete repair/grinding/polishing.
In a 140,000-sf shopping center, plans were developed and permitted to convert a vacant supermarket into a TJ Maxx and Bed Bath & Beyond. The construction included a complete renovation of the entire shopping center, including demolition of buildings, new façades throughout, new parking lot and lights, including the addition of two junior anchors, and several small tenants. Disciplines included: development of architectural, structural, MEP and civil plans along with onsite carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, roofing, glazier, stucco, masonry, concrete and paving.
The JLG Company was hired to bring domestic water and sanitary into an existing industrial building and build two new bathrooms. Additionally, a 14 x 14 motorized commercial garage door was installed into the side of the building requiring alteration to the structural steel to accommodate the opening and weight. Disciplines included: permit coordination, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, masonry, concrete and paving.
In an ALDI anchored shopping center on Commercial Blvd in Fort Lauderdale, plans were developed and permitted for the conversion of a vacant CVS into three tenants (Auto Zone, Wingstop, and Verizon). With the experience of multiple big box conversions, the construction converted the optimal wall facing Commercial Blvd into three entrances for the above tenants. Construction included demising the larger space into three, the separation of the utilities with the local power companies and adding three built up storefronts along with the miscellaneous interior work required for delivery. Disciplines included: development of architectural, MEP and civil plans along with onsite carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, roofer, glazier, stucco, masonry, concrete and paving.
Widener University trusted The JLG Company to demolish an older rock-climbing wall and the supporting structural steel. With the anchors removed from the block wall, we repaired the masonry. After painting the full height wall, we left the room broom clean for the University to continue their gym expansion project. Disciplines included: demolition and painting.
As an addition to the award-winning Reach Climbing and Fitness, The JLG Company was hired to build the interior adjacent addition, The Factory by Reach, a 20,000-sf bouldering gym. The construction included three new ADA bathrooms, a full-sized Ninja training room, a party room, additional exercise room, the replacement of industrial warehouse windows with modern glazing, two new RTU package units with all new updated HVAC throughout and much more. Disciplines included: consultation on the development of architectural & MEP plans along with demolition, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, roofing, glazing, multiple flooring products, concrete, insulation, painting, fire alarm and sprinkler.
A 240-unit apartment building required multiple projects, including major renovations and emergency work. Façade renovation: the façade of the front office building was removed and replaced with ACM (aluminum composite panel system). Office and event space renovation: all work required to demolish and renovate the common area event area as well as the main management office. Hallway renovation: remodeled every hallway throughout the property, updating the form and function of the apartment building to bring this community to life. Emergency fire renovation: after a fire devastated an apartment, The JLG Company was brought in to renovate after the extensive fire, flooding and smoke damage. Disciplines included: development of architectural, structural, MEP and civil plans along with onsite carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, roofing, glazier, stucco, masonry, concrete and paving. HVAC: Removed and replaced 8 roof top (RTU) systems.
In the suburbs of Harrisburg, a vacant supermarket was demised and converted into the largest Driver's License Center in the Commonwealth alongside a new Family Dollar. The new leases and construction vastly improved daily visits to the Shopping Center and led to backfilling the attached Kmart with Tractor Supply and Auto Zone. Disciplines included: development of architectural, structural, MEP and civil plans along with onsite demolition, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural steel, roofing, concrete and paving.
Sky Zone requested major cosmetic renovations (rebranding) at multiple locations (Mt. Kisco, NY - Yonkers, NY - Scranton, PA), including carpentry, painting entire multiple 20,000 square foot locations, new epoxy flooring and new “gym” flooring throughout utilizing Dollamur's patented FLEXI-Connect mats. Disciplines included: demolition, carpentry, flooring and painting.
During the renovation of the Plaza at Cape May Court House, The JLG Company was hired to renovate the front façade of the 62,000 square foot ACME. We understand the importance of the anchor tenant, and care was taken to power wash, repair and paint the façade. Disciplines included: exterior painting.
The JLG Company tackled a full façade renovation with open and operating tenants to transform an old stucco strip center into a colorful eye-catching center. The owner has since filled the center and sold the asset. The exterior façade was renovated in select areas for a new anchor tenant, and the full length of the center was power washed and painted. Disciplines included: demolition, painting and stucco.
The JLG Company transformed a vacant 35,000-sf Marshalls into a 16,000-sf True Value, leaving the rear demised space to become self-storage. Major demolition throughout, including former walls and bathrooms, as well as the removal of 32,000-sf of VCT. With our inhouse concrete grinding team, we removed the mastic and polished the concrete. After we built a new demising wall at 20' high and over 250' in length, we constructed two bathrooms with underground plumbing (saw cut and put back). Also, we performed a video inspection and found an underground interior connection which saved the owner from core drilling the foundation to connect to the exterior lateral. The HVAC system was updated and retrofitted for the new space. While saving over 13,000-sf of drop ceiling, we renovated it and made accommodations for new lighting. On the exterior, we repaired the façade with new EIFS, and painted the full length (including the adjacent Staples). Disciplines included: permit coordination, demolition, concrete polishing, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, stucco and concrete.
In a Golf Galaxy, Bonefish Grill and Xfinity anchored shopping Center, The JLG Company was hired for the retail fit out of Pets Furst, a brand new 4,000-sf veterinary clinic. The fit-out included a full build out, including 5 exam rooms, a treatment room, a kitchen, a laboratory and a custom-built entrance desk. Coordinating with the Landlord and Tenant, the site was delivered ahead of schedule and at the budget promised. Disciplines included: permitting, inspections, demolition, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, custom X-ray room, roofing, tile and concrete.
In two apartment buildings with 78 apartment homes, The JLG Company was hired to renovate all of the lobbies and hallways to modernize this multi-family asset. Coordinating with the Owner and Tenants, the scope included painting the hallways, repairing water damage throughout, tile work and carpentry. Disciplines included: demolition, carpentry, painting and tile.
